Osmo 420 UV protection Oil Extra

Osmo UV Protection Oils are clear, UV rated oils for new timber joinery, pergolas, trellis, cladding and other vertically structured joinery. Not recommended for horizontal surfaces such as timber decking.

UV Protection Oil Extra has a satin finish, and contains biocides. These "Extra" ingredients help fight mould and fungal attack.

Additional Advice:

On a 2 coat application, the UV Protection Oils block the greying process of the timber by a UV protection factor of 12, when compared with untreated timber. All untreated exterior timber will grey off over time, but UV Protection oil has been developed to slow the greying process. However, in Australia, due to the high level of UV rays, the clear UV Protection Oils will have a lifespan of approx 4 - 6 months in fully exposed areas. For longer protection, we recommend using one of the UV Tints, pigmented Decking Oils or Natural Oil Woodstain.

A trial is always recommended first to determine suitability.
