Helical Cutterhead

The Sherwood 8in Benchtop Jointer’s helical head, with 18 carbide inserts arranged in two rows, enables smooth, tear-free planing of intricate or difficult grains. Each 15mm square insert is sharpened on all four edges and has a slight radius, creating a shearing action that minimises tear-out. When an edge becomes dull, simply rotate the insert for a fresh, sharp cutting surface.
